About Us
Our Principal - Christopher Trace LL.B. (hons) GDLP MBA MQLS Our Principal Solicitor has completed a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of Southern Queensland (USQ) and the Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT). In addition to his legal studies he has graduated from James Cook University (Brisbane) with a Master of Business Administration (MBA). This combination provides our clients with insights to both their legal and commercial matters allowing us to take a more holistic approach to providing timely and cost effective solutions. Mr Trace is admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia. He has appeared in the Supreme, District and Magistrates Courts as an advocate on behalf of a wide range of clients. He can assist with a broad spectrum of legal matters and is happy to take the time to understand the issues you may face. Our Principal is also a sessional lecturer at the Queensland University of Technology where he assists the Post Graduate Law School with the final preparation of legal graduates as they prepare for admission to the Supreme Court of Queensland as admitted Solicitors. The Practical Legal Training is the final step a law graduate takes before becoming a solcitor. Additionally Mr Trace assists the University of Southern Queensland undergraduate law program as a marker for litigation exams and assignments. Both of these roles contribute to the ongoing development of the entire legal profession in Queensland and he undertakes these tasks with an appreciation of the privilege they afford. |
Our Team Our Conveyancing and Legal team are all either admitted solicitors or post graduate law students who have completed their law degrees and are finalising their admission as solicitors. The entire team has been legally trained so you have complete peace of mind that your property is in good hands. Our team will take you through any contract and are available to discuss your matter at any stage. Kathleen Trace - Associate
LL.B. (Hons) GDLP MQLS
Kathleen has been awarded degrees in Bachelor of Laws with Honours and Graduate Diploma of Practical Legal Training. She was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland and High Court of Australia after being a legal clerk.
Kathleen has represented clients in a number of jurisdictions including the Magistrates and District Courts and QCAT. She specialises in Debt Collection under the Commonwealth Consumer Credit Code and asset recovery.
In addition she has carriage of a variety of matters including litigation and property disputes. Kathleen has a wealth of experience in Wills, Probate and Grants of Administration, and looks forward to assisting you with your next legal matter.
Shantel Wyllie - Solicitor
LL.B. (Hons) BA GDLP MQLS
Shantel has been awarded a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in history. She was admitted to the legal profession as a solicitor to the Role of the Supreme Court in Queensland and the High Court of Australia.
Previously she has worked in the role of law clerk for several years prior to her admission as a solicitor and employment at Heritage Conveyancing.
Shantel has had carriage of a range of files relating to conveyancing, wills and estates, family law and criminal law matters. Heritage Conveyancing handles a growing number of overseas investor purchases of residential houses, units and commercial properties. Shantel manages these matters on behalf of our firm including applications to the Foreign Investment Review Board.
Her work philosophy is to strive to exceed expectations in every interaction with clients and to go above and beyond in order to assist clients with their enquiries and to meet deadlines.
Michael Stockwell - Solicitor

Michael specialises in complex and convoluted cases requiring cross discipline lateral thinking. After unravelling intricate cases Michael briefs the firm’s respective specialists and then works with them to provide our clients with concise and impeccably researched legal advice.
Michael has particular interest in Body Corporate, Environmental and Heritage Protection law. He also assists the University of Southern Queensland Law Faculty as a tutor and assignment marker.
Aside from his legal career, Michael is also an experienced and awarded violin and viola teacher. Having a background in education enables Michael to exercise great care and patience when explaining complex and often daunting legal concepts and cases to clients.
This critical ability puts minds at rest and empowers clients throughout the legal process.
Andy Huntley - Solicitor

Andy Huntley is a solicitor, teacher and guidance counselor. He holds a number of degrees including Juris Doctor Masters of Law (USQ), Bachelor of Business (USQ), Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice (QUT) & Graduate Diploma of Education (Curtin).
Andy has been admitted as a solicitor to the supreme court of Queensland. He has worked in range of legal areas including conveyancing, wills and estates, family law and criminal matters. He has a special interest in property law and family law. Previously he has worked for GoToCourt as the digital marketing manager for the law firm. Here he managed the law firms content production, online presence and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
Outside of the law Andy has been a primary school and high school teacher. He has taught Legal studies and business for a number of years to high school students. He is looking forward to assisting you with your legal matter.
Ryan Kershaw - Law Graduate & Conveyancing Specialist

Ryan attended the Queensland University of Technology graduating with a dual degree of Law and Media Communication in 2016. After completing several legal internships including Caxton Legal Centre, McKormicks Lawyers & Media Arts Lawyers.
Ryan began working in Conveyancing and Property Law in 2017 and is completing his Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice prior to admission as a Solicitor. Since then, he has developed an extensive knowledge of the Real Property Law landscape including conveyancing processes, the requirements of the Titles Office and the Office of State Revenue. His own interests have led him to a greater understanding of the Property Market itself across South East Queensland.
Ryan joined the Heritage Conveyancing team in 2019 and as an experienced conveyancer is a valued member of the team with a broad knowledge of the Queensland Conveyancing Protocols. He is happy to assist you with your next property purchase or sale.
